Rosneft files appeal, wants Sistema to pay 170.6 bln rbl

MOSCOW, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- Rosneft has appealed against a decision by the Arbitration Court of the republic of Bashkortostan to cut the sum which multi-industry holding Sistema has to pay to it to 136.3 billion rubles from 170.6 billion rubles and is now seeking to receive the full amount, according to documents seen by PRIME on Friday.

The appeal was filed on Thursday and will be redirected to the Eighteenth Arbitration Court of Appeals in the city of Chelyabinsk.

Rosneft filed its 170.6 billion ruble suit in May, seeking to recover a loss stemming from an alleged asset withdrawal from Bashneft in 2009–2014 by Sistema. In August, the republic’s court satisfied a 136.3 billion ruble part of the suit.

Rosneft and Sistema failed to reach an amicable agreement on the case as Sistema contested the court decision.
